Cartoon shows a giant wave strike the Ameco as it wallows in a sea trough.

The fishing boat "Ameco" capsized off Topanga Beach, and 16 people drowned on Memorial Day, May 30, 1930. This remains the worst boating accident in the Santa Monica Bay.
